Michael Keith has been named executive director of the Statesville (North Carolina) Convention & Visitors Bureau. Keith was the owner of Allegra Print & Imaging. He succeeds Libba Barrineau, who now serves as a tour and travel sales manager for the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.
Todd Garofano has been named president of the Saratoga (New York) Convention & Tourism Bureau. Garofano was most recently managing director for Hospitality SalesForce, a sales consulting company. He has also served as regional marketing manager for Amtrak and director of national sales for Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
Tamara Pigott has been appointed executive director of the Lee County (Florida) Visitor & Convention Bureau. Pigott has worked at the VCB for the past 10 years and has served as its interim executive director since December 2009 following the resignation of Suya Davenport, who cited a desire to return to the private sector to work with hotels.
The St. Paul (Minnesota) Convention & Visitors Authority has named Jane Lewis vice-president of convention sales. Lewis has served as interim vice-president of convention sales since September and was previously head of Lewis Marketing, an event-planning company.
Robert Osterberg has been named director of convention sales and services at the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Communities (California) Convention & Visitors Authority. Osterberg, who worked for the CVA from 1997 to 2006, was most recently director of sales for the Northeast and the state of Illinois for La Quinta Resort & Club in California.
The Orlando/Orange County (Florida) Convention & Visitors Bureau has promoted Tina Jones to meetings and conventions marketing executive. Jones served previously as the bureau’s senior national account executive for the Southeast.
