Under its new “Bags Stay Free” promotion, Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Hawaii’s Big Island is offering a baggage fee credit. Guests who are charged an airline baggage fee will receive $25 per bag in credit, which can be used at the hotel’s restaurant and lounge, luau or coffee shop, or for room rates, taxes, parking or Internet. Similar promotions are being offered at several other hotels and hotel brands nationwide, including Kimpton Hotels, which was one of the first to offer its “We Got Your Bag” promotion.
