The Destination & Travel Foundation has exceeded its goal of gathering
$4 million in pledges for its Destination Excellence campaign. The foundation is the 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Destination Marketing Association International and the U.S. Travel Association.

The Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB’s pledge of $100,000 put the capital campaign over its goal. The Destination & Travel Foundation Dinner on February 24, 2010, in Washington, D.C., will mark the official close of the fundraising phase of the Destination Excellence campaign. The campaign will address the issues of relevancy, technology and social responsibility for destinations.
