• Keith Bura, CAE, has been named chief financial and operating officer for the Association Forum of Chicagoland. Bura replaces the Forum’s COO Pamela Schroeder, CAE, and longtime director of finance and chief financial officer, Joan Carney, CAE, who retired on October 29. Bura previously worked as chief financial officer for the Academy of General Dentistry.
• Also at the Association Forum, Susan Urbanczyk, CAE, has been appointed director of marketing and communications, and Jamari Trent has been named program coordinator. Urbanczyk previously was director of public relations for the Academy of General Dentistry, while Trent was formerly coordinator of quality control for the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
• The Texas Society of Association Executives is scheduled to hold its 10th annual Southwest Showcase on February 4 in Austin. The event will be held in partnership with the Central Texas Chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions & Events and the Texas Hill Country Chapter of Meeting Professionals International. • The New Jersey Society of Association Executives and the Delaware Valley Society of Association Executives have voted to merge. The new Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives will become active on
January 1, and be based in Kinnelon, New Jersey, with Patricia Koziol of Peak Management Solutions for Associations serving as its new executive director.
New bylaws, membership categories and dues structures have been created for the Mid-Atlantic SAE, with the merger agreement to be signed by officers of the new organization at the NJSAE/DVSAE Conference & Exhibition, to be held December 9–10 at Caesars in Atlantic City.

• Francine Butler, CAE, has been named executive vice-president of the Association Management Companies (AMC) Institute, based in Philadelphia. Butler is the founder and owner of the Resource Center for Associations in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and has served for eight years on the AMC Institute’s board of directors.
• The New England Society of Association Executives is scheduled to hold its Annual Management Conference January 21–22 at the Sheraton/Boston.
