E-mail
The new 18-million-square-foot urban metropolis, CityCenter, will open this month on the Las Vegas Strip. The development will feature three hotels, residential buildings, and a shopping and entertainment area.

CityCenter’s ARIA Resort & Casino will offer casual and fine dining, a spa, and a resident Elvis Presley–themed Cirque du Soleil production. Its 300,000-square-foot convention facility will feature four ballrooms and 38 meeting rooms.

One of two non-gaming and non-smoking hotels at CityCenter, the Mandarin Oriental/Las Vegas, will offer an additional 12,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 7,650-square-foot ballroom. The 47-story hotel will also feature fine dining, a spa and salon, fitness center, swimming pools, and a Sky Lobby on the 23rd floor.

Vdara, also a non-gaming and non-smoking hotel, will feature 1,495 guest suites; a spa and fitness complex; restaurant; lobby lounge; and pool area with a bar. The hotel’s 10,000 square feet of event space can accommodate up to 400 people.

A fourth hotel, The Harmon, is scheduled to open in late 2010 and will offer 400 luxury guest rooms, a restaurant, salon, spa and 17,500 square feet of event space.

The development’s shopping and entertainment district, Crystals, will feature more than 500,000 square feet of retail and dining. The residential towers, Veer Towers, will house 670 condos.
