The Marriott Marquis Houston has opened in the heart of downtown Houston. Featuring design elements that highlight the city’s ties to NASA, the hotel provides 1,000 guest rooms that showcase prints of a glowing night sky or planetary rings. The hotel also has its own art collection, featuring sculptures and mixed media pieces.
Connected via skybridge to the George R. Brown Convention Center, the Marriott Marquis Houston offers more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including Houston’s largest ballroom. The 39,000-square-foot Texan Ballroom is able to accommodate groups of up to 2,800 for a banquet, 4,000 for a reception and 4,400 for theater-style seating. The property’s outdoor event space includes Parkview Terrace, home to green spaces as well as a rooftop, Texas-shaped lazy river.
