Destination Marketing: A New Vision for a Changing World 

As meeting and event planners—and the destinations that host their functions—are no doubt quite aware, the world continues to change at a rapid pace. In the meetings and events industry alone, changes include an increasingly volatile political landscape that can affect the ease of travel to and from events or a destination’s ability to gather the funds necessary to market their offerings; a dizzying array of new technologies that help destinations market those offerings to meeting and event planners; and a rise of the number of women in leadership roles at destination marketing organizations.
