When it comes to meetings and conventions, Austin is a city that planners and visitors always agree on. The state-of-the-art infrastructure, innovative meeting spaces and world-class hotels are nestled in the heart of the city. The LEED® Gold-certified Austin Convention Center is one of the country’s most technologically advanced convention centers. It is located in the capital city’s downtown business district, just down the street from the city’s vibrant nightlife.

Meeting Space

The four-level facility spans six city blocks and features 369,132 sq. ft. of exhibit and meeting space. There are five contiguous, column-free exhibit halls with 247,052 sq. ft., seven ballrooms ranging from 3,896 to 40,510 sq. ft., and 54 meeting rooms totaling 58,000 sq. ft.

With its cutting edge technology, customized network solutions and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, the Austin Convention Center is ideal for many events with detailed and substantial technology needs. The high-tech, gigabit-rated convention center that moves voice, video and data at over one billion bits per second, has become the perfect technology partner for events such as the annual SXSW international convention.

Austin by Day and Night

As the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin echoes with the sound of country, rock ‘n’ roll, blues, jazz and Tejano in more than 250 venues any night of the week. With six entertainment districts and a safe and walkable downtown, it is easy to enjoy Austin’s famous live music. Visitors can also enjoy everything from fine dining in Four Star restaurants to down-home barbecue and authentic Tex-Mex.

During the day, visitors can enjoy the capital city’s many historical attractions, including the Texas State Capitol, the LBJ Presidential Library and the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. There are seven museums and 17 libraries located at The University of Texas at Austin. One can also experience the beauty of central Texas, captured by downtown’s Lady Bird Lake, bordered by ten miles of trails enjoyed by runners, walkers and cyclists.

The Austin Convention Center is conveniently located near 23 hotels with 7,500 hotel rooms in the downtown area. Adjacent to the convention center is the 800-room Hilton Austin and a 1,012-room JW Marriott Austin, which opened in early 2015. There are 33,000 hotel rooms citywide.
