Alan Humason has been appointed executive director of the Mendocino County (California) Tourism Commission, effective April 3. Humason was selected to lead the organization following an intensive executive search.
With more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, Humason most recently served as executive director of the Yolo County (California) Visitors Bureau. He also held positions in the sales, marketing and editorial/publishing industries.
“Humason’s appointment represents the final capstone to our new organization’s matrix,” said Board Chairman John Kuhry. “His breadth in destination marketing and strong background in strategic planning and execution sets Mendocino County up as a vital contender for the critical tourism dollar. His insights will be a valued asset to our rich and varied team of stakeholders.”
