1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge has made its debut at the Pier 1 development in New York City. Offering waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge features eco-conscious design elements and sustainable architecture.
“Confronted with how far Americans were lagging behind in changing our consumption habits, I created 1 Hotels to show sophisticated travelers that they can do good, live well, and connect with both the world and the community around them,” said Barry Sternlicht, 1 Hotels founder and the chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group. “Today, with the opening of 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, my vision is now realized. We were able to select every material and develop mindfully, yet the space’s main purpose remains to serve, entertain and inspire with some of the best amenities found in the New York hospitality market.”
For meetings and events, the 194-room property offers more than 20,000 square feet of flexible space that includes a 50-seat screening room and the Meadow Rue event space, which can accommodate groups of up to 1,000.
Several projects are in the works at the hotel including three dining options. The 10th-floor lounge is expected to open in May with seating for groups of up to 60. Also debuting in May is a 4,000-square-foot rooftop area that will include a bar, a pool, fire pits, seating and space for groups of up to 350 people. Lastly, a signature restaurant is expected to open later this spring. On the health and wellness front, the Bamford Haybarn Spa is scheduled to open in June with nine treatment rooms.
